Exterior ironwork at Succulents Cafe, Roxburgh, Central Otago, New ZealandAt the aforementioned cafe there’s a lot of great iron-work.

As well as what you see here on the exterior, inside there’s a fantastic grapevine; all polished iron leaves and bunches of grapes. And other little flourishes here and there, like the fire guard and the door handles.

There’s a local artist that makes it – I should find out more. Like what else does he do? And how does he wrestle such beauty from such a base material?
