the driver
Apparently this just “arrived” with a new tractor last year. We supply the motive power, Rosa supplies the sound effects.
All the grandchildren take it in turns to “drive” the tractor… but only Bella is yet big enough to reach the pedals. And she’s yet to master the art of propelling herself, so there’s a still a small workout in it for us.
Rosa has really taken to tractors (although these are a pale second to the dogs in her view) and the look on her face when I placed her on the seat of a real John Deere was a sight to behold.
Only a few days of this left, unfortunately (for us, anyway – don’t know about the rest of you)...

DIGGER! Ah, I vaguely remember liking tractors and what not. Diggers more so, than tractors. I liked diggers. Diggers were good. Ok, so I'm running low on ways to say I used to like diggers.

You'd like it here at the moment then - there's two diggers at work putting in an irrigation system. One of them is a 20 ton monster. Certainly has the girls transfixed, anyway.

My daughter went through a digger phase too. Diggers precede dinosaurs... Anyway, I take it you have The Little Yellow Digger (Gilderdale)? You should definitely buy it if not.

Yes, we've had that one from the library a couple times now. It's got a particularly good metre for reading aloud, and is easily memorised by the very small. Good story too.
