That continuing series of smug holiday postings has come to an end. You may emit a sigh of relief, should you wish to do so.

We are at home now, dealing with mouse droppings all over Rosa’s bed, through the house, and around the kitchen. And more water damage from the supposedly fixed roof. Yay.

And back to work tomorrow.

But at least it seems to have stopped raining in Wellington. For now.

20 year guarantee sounds like a good idea. We can’t sue anyone for our ahem… errors.

All very good in theory, but what tradesman stays in business long enough to claim against? At least your errors are your own. :-)

Good point. And really, who wants to claim against anyone anyway?

Well, when the roof repairs cost the price of a half-decent second-hand car and still don’t work, one is inclined to get a little tetchy about it.

I think the rain is saving up for the test match next week.

Which may well be a blessing in disguise, given the performance of the New Zealanders against Australia.
