the german flu

What can we do? This one’s much more infectious than some previous germanic pathogens (think Nena, and Trio), and infants and young children are highly susceptible, unlike before.

You know the one – it goes like this:

Schni schna schnappi, schnappi schnappi schnapp! [...]
Ich bin Schnappi, das kleine Krokodil

We’ve caught it in our household. Now the girls want it all the time.

And even I’ve started to absentmindedly, you know, sort of, hum bits of it. I’m not sure what to do.

I abhor/love that song. Its just so damn catchy.

Anyways, do you know if Onebefore.org has gone bang or is it just me? Also, should you get to reading this in time, whats the deal with the dawn parade here in the big smoke?

I’m wandering about the house singing it now without realising, and getting a chorus from the girls. Meanwhile Becky tells me off each time.

    I just can’t help it.

As for onebefore.org, here’s what Sarah said about it last week.

    And according to this page...

Oh lordy, we’d just got over that. Thanks for the reinfection, dude.

The lyrics are pretty damned funny if you speak German too.

I’m not fluent enough to pick it up of the few hearings I’ve had (and not sure want to inflict further on myself).

Passing School C German doesn’t seem to have actually left me with any great ability there.

Oh, and while I remember, Sarah has switched locations – she’s now at http://onebefore.info and otherwise the same as before.

    99 Luftballons…

Are you making me pay now for mentioning Cheap Trick once? Is that it? Do I really need Nena in my iPod after all these years during which I happily forgot all about that sick song that wouldn’t leave my head? Do I? Sigh…

I shan’t mention Mr Blobby, then. Or Barbie Girl.

    Eurotrash infections, all.
