wellingtonist lunch
The remains of a Wellingtonist team lunch at Daawat.

I’m sure that one of us will do a full review… but for now (as I sit here) it’s damn fine.

And now to stop being a freakin’ nerd and return to the conversation.

    Neeeeeeeerd!

Were you trying to get us stalked? I knew the other patrons were looking at me, now I know why!

    By crickey that is fast.
Nerd? yeah, probably. But that’s OK, without nerds I’d not be able to send emails.

And it was good to meet you.

Hah! brilliant. I see you managed to avoid capturing the dozen or so empty bottles….

Of course I was being a nerd.

Photo from Mobile phone + email = instant er, “moblogging”.

Torture. While I’m here starving, you’re leaving curry untouched. Meanies.

Now I’m fascinated. Do you all start telling stories and then go “oh you probably know that from my blog”? all the time? Do you look different in real life?

    Yes. Yes. Yes.

Oddly enough, it revealed who wasn’t paying attention – too many questions were asked that they/we should have known the answers to.

And I would have been stunned at how attractive we all are, but since I was expecting that, I wasn’t.

Thank god. I’m not really interested in ugly people.

There’s going to be a test tomorrow on what everyone said. If you get less than 50% you’re off the team.

You keep organizing these gigs without telling me. Mean, really mean.

Man I hate it when I see a blog’s been updated on bloglines, come rushing back in & discover it was updated by my last comment….

I really should do some work…

Nothing like a good ruby and a bottle of Kingfisher at lunchtime to see you through the week. Except maybe another one at night with some more beer….

I would have been walking past Daawat at about the time you were doing this too. Weird.

    About what?

Names, people and places, mostly. It’s weird, actually, I have an incredibly good memory for the most trivial of things, but personal details and anecdotes just don’t stick in my mind at all.

Hence my need to write everything down (or have other people do so, so I can look it up when I need to).

    Heh… I was suggesting I couldn’t remember what we were talking about….

it’s true then. irony is dead.

Yess… I’ve always thought it unfair that I can remember the lyrics to long dead crappy TV themes, but not the name of the person who was introduced to me 2 seconds ago…
