irrigator

The farm has a new and extensive irrigation system. And on a hot day, like today, what better thing to do than to dance in the water spray?

That’s what Bella is off to do here. And what Rosa and Becky and I did soon after.

We’d do it again this afternoon except that it wasn’t such a good paddock to be in for Becky and Bella’s hayfever. We’ll find another sprayer unit in a paddock of shorter grass, next time.

That is certainly the best garden sprinkler to run through!

Crikey Alan! You’d win any water fights with that baby. Makes my supersoaker look a bit impotent…

Happy New Year to you guys too!

Yeah, the pressure on this baby would probably blow your clothes off, if you got it full on. It’s a damned hairy procedure getting it going too: the sheer pressure of water involved is quite scary.

Is that a centre-pivot irrigation system? Some cool pictures of those on Google earth

No, it’s just one that reels the sprayer unit in. The farm is too hilly for a centre-pivot system.
