Where’s the snow? The extremes of Wellington weather tend only to the wind, which is a bit dull, frankly.
Wagamama has opened here. Should I care? I thought I did, but now I’m not so sure. Shouldn’t I be supporting the local boys and girls? But we’ll be sure to go along at some point.
The spore creature creator does not work on my two-year-old MacBook. Bah!
I love being demo’ed skunk-works iPhone apps. I bet there’s heaps of these in the woodwork too. July will be an interesting month. And most of them will work on my iPod Touch.
Speaking of the iPhone, I’m still not sure. Local gadget über-geek Brenda‘s chosen phone (the new, and rather astonishing SonyEricsson C905) seems a little too bulky for me, but its little brother, the C902, seems just the thing. So I’ve created a little Google spreadsheet to compare the various options out there:

The biggest downside of the iPhone for me is the crap camera. From what I can see it’s not any better than the camera in my present phone, the k750i. There’s heaps of better cameraphones now.

Also, I am a nerd. But you knew that.

I mean to comment on this and forgot. So here’s a time-honoured bullet comment:
- Where’s the snow? – London had very little snow. Indeed only on one did it snow enough to stick around for a few hours. Not good enough. Must try harder.
- Wagamama has opened here. – Work has taken us there on a couple of occasions (well, the one in Windsor) and it’s been quite a fun adventure. Also I have a couple of two for one coupons that expire in a month that I’m fairly likely to use. (I’d send one over, but sadly it is tied to the Windsor Wagamama.)
- Speaking of the iPhone… I know there’s no other phone I’d want to replace my current iPhone than a newer faster more ninja-endorsed iPhone 3G.
- Compact cameras almost universally suck. The exception is the N95, which if I could have that without the phone I might actually get. (I suppose technically my Z20fd is better, but… well, no, I suppose I’d rather have it still, and really, a phone that has a task manager? That doesn’t run Windows?)
Also I’m a geek, but then very few people would dispute that :)

Wow. I’d comment meaningfully, but I don’t think Textile nests bullets as far as I need them to go. And I’m not enough of a nerd to rewrite Textile for the occasion.
