learning from children
Before dinner. Tana Umaga would be very pleased with me.
Me: “What’s that letter?”
Rosa: “It’s a V!”
Me: “Are you sure? I don’t think Vs have a tail…”
Rosa: “It’s an H!”
Me: “Now you’re just making it up!”
Rosa: “It’s an upside down H with a curl on it!”
Me: “Errr…” [after some thought] “…actually Rosa, you are quite right!”
Which kind of proves she’s just as much of a smart-arse as her father. And also that I shouldn’t ask such bloody stupid questions.

You counter quickly with “No, that’s a lower case Lambda. Check and mate Rosa!”
I’m going to make a terrible father.

Heh… and that’s why I think of all the blokes I know who aren’t already Dads, you’d be probably the best at it.
